Live at Attic x Café del Mar (December 2023)

Attic returned for a summer soirée at the iconic Café del Mar Sydney back in December—the balmy weekend was embraced by the sun-drenched ambience of Cockle Bay.

As I like to do, I kicked off the afternoon’s proceedings, offering a selection of Balearic-inspired flavours to set the mood and tone, in preparation for the more house-centric flavours to follow. (And they certainly did.)

I really enjoyed packing and preparing this particular box—which required many a dig for hidden treasures from yesteryear!—and it came out about as well as I hoped it might!

I hope it translates as such for you, potentially offering a tasty aural side dish for your day or evening!

Live at Analogue Discogue at Rekodo Restaurant & Vinyl Bar, Sydney (23rd July, 2023)

Analogue Discogue is an esteemed hi-fi, vinyl-only event hosted by house and disco aficionado, Norm De Plume.

We were invited to join the line-up for its July event: a sun-kissed Sunday afternoon affair hosted at the exquisite, Japanese-inspired Rekōdo Restaurant & Vinyl Bar at Sydney’s Barangaroo.

Rekōdo‘s crystal-clear Klipsch sound system sounded expectedly immaculate right throughout the afternoon’s proceedings: the clarity and warmth of the system provided an ambient yet immersive experience for diners and listeners, alike. It was an absolute pleasure.

The Fazz and I came prepared, armed and loaded with a couple of boxes of carefully selected favourites—a concoction of newer burners and some favourites from yesteryear—and did our very best to fly the Attic flag proudly.

Live at Attic presents Ethyène (11th May, 2019)

It’s not every day you have the opportunity to warm-up for your favourite artist… I was that lucky a few weeks back.

We were fortunate to welcome Ethyène to our Attic fold as part of his very first Australian tour. Ethyène’s sample-driven house and disco original tracks, remixes and edits have formed a significant part of our collections—and, indeed, our Attic sets!—over the last couple of years. As far as I’m concerned; it really doesn’t get much better…

Accordingly, this was a set that consumed a lot of thought, emotion, plenty of nerves and significant effort—it’s one I hold dear.

With the man himself listening intently just a few metres away and a dance-floor building; the stage was set at Harpoon Harry—and here is the result…

She’s a lower, slower, affair, with plenty of vinyl included.

Live at Toast, Ivy Pool Club (29th September, 2018)—with Andrew Fazzolari

We’ve been itching to get this one up and available since that glorious Sydney Saturday afternoon at Ivy Pool Club a couple of weeks back—and here it is!

For context, we were asked to open up proceedings at the first ‘Toast’ event of the season and, despite the grim weather forecast; Mother Nature turned it on for all… so, we responded accordingly.

“The Fazz” and I—unofficially waving the Attic flag—took the opportunity to play some of our lower, slower, funky burners and had an immensely enjoyable time in the process!
