Live at No Place Like House ft. Art Of Tones (22nd July, 2022)—with Andrew Fazzolari

We played our first club set under our Attic guise for a little over two years! (Hey, a pandemic might just do that.)

For the occasion, we partnered with the fine folk at No Place Like House, welcoming seasoned French house stalwart, Art of Tones, as part of his very first Australian tour—a great booking and an even better bloke!

(And, geez, we’d missed the Civic Underground—our home away from home since Attic’s inception.)

We opened the evening and were gifted a deliciously lengthy two-and-a-half set to get things underway. We kicked off with our signature warm-up fodder and built things up on the housey tip as the room began filling up and the feet started moving en masse!

Within you’ll hear originals, remixes and releases from a selection of our favourites, including Junktion, Local Talk, Tropical Disco Records, I Gemin, SlothBoogie, Jehan, Sondrio, Hotmood, Sune, Scruscru, Never Dull, Dam Swindle, Ed Wizard, Dan Kye, Felipe Gordon, Kevin Over, Demuir and Tilman—to name just a few!

Live at Foxlife Mix (10th June, 2017)

Here is a(nother) new mix from me: the recording from my set last weekend at the Queen’s Birthday long weekend edition of Foxlife, playing alongside Slyfox resident, Rabbit Taxi, Pip Dalton and Öncüm Yılmaz.

I was handed the closing duties on this occasion—a fresh change and a little different from the warm-up set times to which I’m generally used to!—and played right through ’till morning, finishing at around six o’clock.

This particular set features a combination of my preferred melodic, Attic-style disco-driven deep house, as well as some tougher, techier numbers and concludes on a floaty, uplifting note; just the way to bring in the morning for the weary heads on the dance floor!

Really hope you dig this one!

Live at Peoples Club Mix (21st April, 2017)

Here is my recorded set from my recent Peoples Club debut at Goodbar, playing upstairs in the bar from ten ’till midnight, last Friday night.

The crowd — and, indeed, the bar staff — were incredibly receptive and seemed to be enjoying the musical offerings; as was I.

I played a bunch of my current favourites, and snuck in a couple from a selection of Peoples Club favourites, too — Andy Hart, Axel Boman, Fouk, Nachtbraker, Lay-Far and Damiano von Erckert, to name just a few.

Special thanks to the birthday boy, Davi and Nergal for the booking consideration, too. I had a blast playing for you guys, and your ‘People’, and I really hope that translates through this mix, too.

Here is my set from Apollo Arcade at Secret Garden Bar in Enmore, from a few weeks back. This was an incredibly enjoyable set, and a wonderful opportunity to play a complete, two-hour, vinyl only set!

I’ve just managed to compile the tracklisting for this one — which you’ll appreciate takes a little longer for such a set! — and, for what it’s worth, I generally try and buy vinyl-only releases, too, so there might be some gems in here that might not otherwise be available.

Attic hosts The Maze at S*A*S*H (12th February, 2017)

A massive thank you to the S.A.S.H crew for placing their trust in our Attic brand and inviting us to host The Maze at their incredible — and amazingly consistent — event. We had an absolute blast!

Cris, Kerry, Matt, Jack and the crew: you really know how to make your artists and DJs feel valued and welcome. It’s an absolute credit to you all.

And with that, a big shout to all of those who listened and danced to our deeper disco flavours. I’m sure we’ll be seeing you around the traps again soon!

This is a four-hour recording, spread over two parts, and you can listen and download below.

Attic Teaser Promo Mix (November 2016)

Well, here is the first of a couple of “teaser” mixes we’ll be throwing out for our ‘Attic’ brand this week — a new project I’m currently working on.

This mix offering contains original tunes and remixes from Junktion, Harry Wolfman, Fantastic Man, Jeremy Juno and Forteba, on labels such as Razor-N-Tape Recordings, Secret Reels and Melbourne Deepcast.

Attic is the brainchild of Sydney jocks, Brendan Clay and Andrew Fazzolari; devised as a medium to promote their love for low, slow grooves, thick basslines and loose, swinging drums.

Attic is tailored to those searching for an avenue for deep, soulful, disco-infused and melodically-inclined house music.

Fundamentally, its focus is the promotion of quality, hand-picked local talent, foremost; regularly showcasing selectors from around the globe who mirror its style and vision.
